LSD: Dream Emulator

9

Cover and disc art for the 1998 Playstation game LSD: Dream Emulator. Developed by Osamu Sato, the player explores multiple surreal and dream-like environments based on the dream diary of an Asmik Ace, the publishing company, employee. It has gained a cult following over the years due to its enigmatic themes and imagery.

Sato is a Japanese contemporary digital artist, composer, photographer, and video game developer. He began making video games in the early 1990's. Sato wanted to use the Playstation as a medium for contemporary art instead of traditional video games.
